A Remarkable Story

A recognised thought-leader, researcher, and author, Lisa is also a Paralympic Silver Medallist in wheelchair basketball from Athens (2004). In 2013, she experienced chronic pain, which she resolved using neuroplasticity, and then wrote a book about it, “Breaking the pain habit”. She brings lived experience into everything she does.

After living with chronic pain for two years, Lisa combined her occupational therapy knowledge with new, emerging research about neuroplasticity, and stopped pain by changing the pathways in her brain. She has written a book, Breaking the Pain Habit, to help others.
